OUR GREAT IMPACT ON THE HORTICULTURE INDUSTRY

Our HOCl is BEYOND GREEN. It has been called the "wonder water". We are proud to say that we are a supplier to very pleased organic farmers. Through our experience of numerous applications and developed processes, our solutions have been identified as giving growers the ability to eradicate pathogens that would normally destroy a crop. Instead we hear feedback that crops are outperforming controlled groups; resulting in longer blooms, increased tolerance, increased yields and a healthier, thus better work environment .

Our SAFE products are pH neutral and are capable of rapid reduction of bacteria, viruses, scale, algae, biofilms, spores, cysts and mold. This has been the case with both hydroponic and soil growers.

HOCl was first identified over 150 years ago! It has been used widely through Europe for over 20 years!

  • SAFE & Non-hazardous

  • No need for hazardous use permits

  • No need for bulky protection equipment

  • Non irritating

  • Highly potent

  • Eradicates water borne pathogens in the water supply

  • Allows for disinfection where toxic chemicals are not permitted

  • Reduction in labor costs

COMMON ISSUES

 SOLVED

FERN.png

Microorganisms Resistance and Mutation

When the appropriate application is used, our products effectively destroy pathogens therefore the pathogens cannot build up resistance and mutate, creating 'super bugs'.

In contrast, standard toxic chemicals can create strains of pathogens that become resistant over time because the cell can expel or neutralize the chemical before the chemical can kill it, thereby causing the efficacy of the chemical cleaners and disinfectants to become significantly reduced.

With our solutions this simply is not possible because it rapidly oxidizes the structure and properties of the pathogen.

Our SAFE HOCl produces a residual that continues to remain available based on bacterial demand. Tests show that not only is SAFE HOCl an effective disinfectant and sanitizer, but it is also sporicidal. Sporicidal tests have demonstrated that it eliminates bacterial spores and biofilms.

Reverse Migration

Reverse migration of bacteria is a source of contamination within water distribution systems and can be devastating to horticulture, agriculture, medical and food processing environments.

Water line contamination

American Dental Association studies show that contamination begins at the discharge point of water appliances and migrates back to the source of the water. Microbial populations increase rapidly, migrating up inside the water lines. This happens even when using sterile water, flushing the line between uses and flushing the system with bleach once a week.

Sinks, faucets, spray heads and many other types of water equipment are constantly being exposed to environmental contaminants.

 WE CAN FIX THAT!

Biofilm

Traditionally, there have been several strategies for preventing or removing biofims, including:

  • using bactericidal compounds to chemically kill bacteria

  • using liquid or gas dispersants to break up the biofilms

  • using mechanical means to physically remove biofilms

  • using enzymes or chelates to weaken the biofilm structure

These strategies have been proven to be ineffective against biofilms. Even high levels of traditional disinfectant cannot eliminate pathogens within even small amounts of scale. Because the biofilm is attracted to the substrate by virtue of an electrical charge, dislodgement must be accomplished by disturbance of the charge - therefore very few chemicals are effective. Many organisms excrete extracellular polysaccharides and form biofilms that protect individual cells and can be quite difficult to remove from surfaces and manufacturing equipment.

Studies have been conducted on fresh produce.

Now, researchers have been demonstrating the successful use of electrochemically activated water as an effective SAFE alternative for removing biofilms. Results of the studies demonstrate the efficacy of HOCl on the complete removal of the biofilm from surfaces and tubing.

HOCl does not leave harmful residues or  byproducts. Toxic chemicals are inconvenient and damaging to equipment, our environment and us.

Study: Biofilm Removal from Tubing using HOCl

A. Untreated Tubing

B. Severed Untreated Tubing

D. Removal of Biofilm using HOCl

C. Incubation in water & HOCl

A study using 12 year old tubing from the return line of a boat. The tubing was cut in half and placed in either fresh water or electrically charged water. The tubes soaked for one hour at room temperature. Results show HOCl effectively removed the biofilms.

Experiment: Fresh Cut Flowers

Flower experient - HOCl vs H2O - Day 1.p

DAY 1 -  Fresh cut flowers in HOCl (left) vs H20 (right)

Flower experient - HOCl vs H2O - Day 8.p

DAY 8 -  Fresh cut flowers in H2O &  HOCl  (left) vs H2O (right)

ABOVE: A fresh cut flower bouquet was divided in half. One half of flowers were placed in a vase containing a small amount of HOCl and water. In another vase the other half of flowers were placed in water alone.  After 8 days the flowers containing only a very small amount of HOCl faired much better with significantly less wilting and more water clarity.
