If Hypochlorous is so great why haven't I heard of it before?Although HOCl was first discovered over 150 years ago, it was not stable which made it difficult to use and study. With our technology advancements we are able to provide long lasting highly potent HOCl to people all over the world. Word is spreading quickly because the results speak for themselves.
-
"Is there such a thing as 'pure' Hypochlorous (HOCl)?"Don't be fooled, there is no such thing as 'pure' or '100%' HOCl. Many are using this as a marketing ploy. All hypochlorous has significant water content. When looking for quality HOCl pay attention to the shelf life, not the 'purity'.
-
Since HOCl is an acid, how can "Safe Disinfectant" be "safe"?"HOCl is a weak water soluble acid like in orange juice. HOCl is a powerful oxidizer that oxidizes the thin microbe cell wall causing it to burst and die without harming us.
-
Is it true, our white blood cells produce Hypochlorous Acid?"Neutrophils are a type of white blood cells. They are the first responders when our bodies are attacked by infection. Neutrophils are better known as "pus" and make up 40% of our blood. When an invader is present, neutrophils secrete an enzyme which after some processes, converts to Hypochlorous Acid. HOCl then causes the invader cells to burst.
-
Is HOCl harmful?HOCl is highly beneficial to animals and plants. Our immune system produces Hypochlorous Acid in the white blood cells to fend off pathogens.. Veterinary use of HOCl is well documented to treat various infections and conditions in animals. It also has an impressive history in the medical field to treat wounds in humans. In fact, it was successfully used intravenously by British doctors during WW1 to cure gangrene in soldiers. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4363024/

Safe Disinfectant smells like bleach to me, isn't it really just bleach?"HOCl has a different chemical compostition from that of bleach. Therefore they behave differently. Bleach contains lye which is caustic and gives it the well known slippery feeling to our skin because it is literally breaking down the fatty tissue and oils of our skin. Bleach is a severe lung irritant, and can cause burns, eye damage, etc. HOCl is a saline solution which means that it is made from salt and water. It is even used medically to treat eye conditions and wounds.
-
What makes The Safe Disinfectant Co. different from other chemical manufacturers? The Safe Disinfectant Co. utilizes a revolutionary technology to manufacture a highly stable form of Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) with a much longer shelf life than other chemical manufacturers. This allows us to provide our customers with a higher quality HOCl that is effective for longer periods of time.
-
Do you have any test results proving HOCl is effective using electrostatic sprayers?Black mold treatment applied using an electrostatic sprayer. Total time to apply was only 5 minutes.
